In partnership with Rene ‘Level’ Martinez, Farisa has been filming a series of long-form documentaries like “The Warrior Level”, “Praying in the Hood” and “Keeping it Level”. This collaboration spans several years focusing on projects aimed at generating a positive social impact in society. The overarching platform for these urban initiatives is “Keeping it Level”. Notably, Daniel was honored with the National Geographic Editor’s Choice Award for his black and white photo series capturing the baptism of a former gang member. This recognition was a testament to Daniel’s extensive collaboration on numerous projects with ex-gang members, all aimed at conveying a positive message to the youth, urging them to forge a better path in the midst of extreme challenging environment. Below a music video entitled “Last Phone Call” was directed and filmed by Daniel as a fund-raising project for marginal neighborhoods.
